GRR taking it up a gear...
GRR have just signed up for The Prince's Trust Palace to Palace 2010. A sponsored cycle ride from Buckingham Palace to Windsor castle. Taking place on Sunday 26th September and organised by The Prince's Trust all proceeds go towards changing young peoples’ lives.
We will be battling our way through the pelaton, quashing the raging lactic acid fires within and administering those essential saddle sore lotions to the buttocks most in need! Purely demanding stuff we hope you will agree.
Oh yes, and the small task of cycling the 45mile route - a real challenge for all of us taking part.
How did we get involved?
As you may know The Prince's Trust is GRR's primary charity. Our Founder and CEO Richard Ash is a member of The Prince’s Trust Retail Leadership group, this gave us all the opportunity to meet first hand a young man who has benefited from the work of the Prince's Trust. It was clear The Prince's Trust really had changed his life for the better, it proved to be an inspiring and touching experience for many of us learning of his plight. We want to do our bit and we need your help....
So how can you help?
There's no need to send us your tubes of Ralgex or bottles of Lucozade but a few of your hard earned pounds would be most welcome! We want to raise at least £1000, all of which will help The Prince's Trust to transform more young lives. You can check out some of their great work here
As an idea of what your money can do:
£25 could help train a mentor to support an unemployed young person who wants to start up a business
£10 could help advise five young people calling The Prince’s Trust helpline
£200 could pay for the clothes and equipment of one unemployed young person to train as a chef
Please do help us where you can, more of our team members will be joining our fundraising page in the coming days. It really doesn't matter which one of us you sponsor we will be travelling as one.
Stay posted for further updates as we prepare for our intrepid adventure!
