I was just reading an article that caught my attention commuting to work on the metro this morning, where thousands of species of animals face extinction if the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is not reduced.
Species from polar bears, pythons to coral will only exist in zoo’s and aquaria, which is unbearable I would say.
The World Association of Zoo’s and Aquariums stated that ‘C02 levels now stand at just under 385ppm (parts per million) and if the atmospheric C02 are not stabilised at 350 ppm, this will cause rising temperatures and irreversibly damaging natural habitats’.
Now there’s a thought ! do we want that to happen, because it is, unless we act on reducing our CO2’s emissions.
