    Challenge: To create a store for the Royal Shakespeare Company that is sympathetic to the architecture and their vast heritage; whilst making it clear to visitors that this is a retail space.  The shop will receive high-footfall during peak times so GRR had to carefully consider the roles of the shop and the box office which shares the space.

    Opportunity: As part of a new multi-million pound development this space has the opportunity to bolster the RSC’s revenue stream by selling to new and existing customers alike.

    Result: The new theatre is set to launch in 2010 and in terms of the store.. the proof will be in the pudding!  GRR and the RSC are confident however that this store will be a huge success!

    Green Room Retail won a four-way pitch to work on this prestigious project, the design incorporates a striking back wall, multi-functional gondolas and a cash desk in keeping with the selected materials palate… all of which allow maximum flexibility as show times peak and quieten.
