Our visit to CES 2013 27 Feb 2013

CES is becoming much more than a show which is exclusively about consumer electronics. Its becoming a multi-tech showcase where the hardware is simply a pretty box that houses real innovation.

We see that apps are driving progress in our everyday lives, through our smartphones, TVs, white goods for examples and through the way we communicate to one another.

More interestingly, they are now being used intelligently and appropriately beyond entertainment or for social media, particularly in the relationship between the technology and automotive industries.

Simply mirroring your smartphones home-screen, but on your car’s dashboard is not good enough, so we now see brands like Ford and GM launch App developer platforms where innovation can be explored without barriers. This open attitude by automotive manufactures will only further fuel creativity, innovation and opportunity.

Our role as environmental brand experts is how to bring these propositions to life which offer the best experiences whilst generating sales. Display design has never been so complex or important as it is in today’s digitally connected world. The key is ensuring the message penetrates beyond the early adopters through intuitive communication weather that is experiential digital or static.
